![]() ![]() No more will I use that cheap yellowy unbranded stuff you can buy from your local cheap shop which allows paint to soak through, leaves residue all over the surface you've stuck it to or worse. ![]() Follow the instructions, ensure good prepping and you will get outstanding result. On removing the tape, it did not peel any of the fresh paint off with it so again it did what it says it will do. good preparation is key! I also used this on top of the freshly painted woodwork the following day when I noticed a tiny part of the wall I had missed closed to the woodwork so I re-masked that area and touched in. The tape itself did not allow any paint to soak through directly (as the cheap stuff will definitely do because it isn't coated) but remember, as in anything. I'm not here to teach the art of masking but be aware, if the surface you are protecting is not flat, then the tape will not seal so then its inevitable that paint will find its way underneath any area that isn't fully down. Those who criticise this product for "bleeding" are probably not using it correctly. I had no "bleed" issues as some people have reported using this product. I must say that it performed brilliantly. I didn't want to get the new wall colour over the woodwork as that would have left a lot more work to do so I used this product to mask off all the woodwork prior to painting the walls. I painted my walls a different colour but the woodwork was remaining the same with just a single touch up coat needed. However, it was money well spent and saved me a lot of time in the process. The purpose of this blue tape is to paint a straight edge for any color changes. ![]() This is the first time I have spent what I would deem to be "a lot of money" on masking tape.
